Higher Calling in Christ
Welcome! I am Guy Baker. I want to thank you for visiting our website! We hope you find encouragement to live a life full of love and peace. We hope that you find inspiration to dig into the Word of God and discover who He is and to learn what His will is for you. God loves us so much that He is not willing to leave us in darkness. His love and His grace are higher than any all our mistakes in life. He sent His Son Jesus to be our advocate and bring us into the light. I married my high school sweetheart, and God blessed us with three beautiful children. Our family has grown over the last couple of years, both our daughters are now married, and we now have our first grandbaby who brings us tremendous joy! My wife Kimberly homeschooled all of our children, and our youngest son is in his first year of college.
Over the years, our ministry was our marriage and our children. The Bible teaches that the Christian life is one of constant growth. When we were born again, we were born into God’s family. God’s will for Christians is to grow in faith and mature in Christ continually. God changes our hearts over time as we get to know Him better and His plan for our lives.
As our family has entered a new season, our vision for ministry is turning outward. We hope that through blogs, vlogs, poems, articles, short stories, etc., we might bring encouragement and hope to you and your family. We believe that we are Jesus Christ’s ambassadors in this world and plan on sharing with you our journey in applying the Scriptures to our lives and living out the calling that God has for us.
The Apostle Paul penned in Colossians, “He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. (Col 1:28 NIV)” Following Jesus Christ, purposefully leads to steady development, continual learning, and increasing in Godly wisdom.
