Higher Calling in Christ

I know you will provide,
but to be still takes faith.
Patience is a virtue lost with time.
Handing over control
seems nearly impossible,
but you make all possible.
Men must have dreams,
but those who only dream
lose all of them to reality.
When dreams are shattered
the moment is wrenching.
When my soul is told no
my flesh rebels.
You lead me to another path.
Open my eyes to the road.
Give me strength to hand over control.
Help me understand.
I know you have a plan,
but I don’t know my role.
All I can do is trust.
Trust in your majesty
and hope in your will.
